Doris Jeanine Pendergast passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on October 19 at the age of 91. She is lovingly remembered by her children Mickey (Debby), Kevin (Judy), Janine, grandchildren Jason (Tiara), Talia (Nick), Mark (Jessica), Cody (Chloe), Dalyce, Joel (John) and great grandchildren Jackson, Arthur, Matilda and Brooklyn. She is also survived by her sister Joyce.
Doris is predeceased by her husband Ken.
Doris was the youngest of 7, raised in Cactus Lake Saskatchewan. She met Ken at Prairie Bible Institute when they were both in Junior High. They married in 1951 at ages 20 and 21 then moved to Edmonton. Here they started a family in 1957 before later settling in Calgary in 1967. Her true joy was her family; totally devoted to Dad, the kids and eventually the grand and great grandkids. Family meant everything to her, a value she passed on to all of us and everyone she touched.
A service will be held at Northmount Baptist Church, 451 Northmount Drive NW, Calgary Alberta on October 28 at 2:00pm with the Reverend Greg Butt officiating.
