Duncan was born December 19, 1943 to parents Duncan & Lucie (Campbell) Currie at Glacé Bay, Nova Scotia. On August 15 1963, Duncan married the love of his life Patsy and soon after started their family.
After joining the Canadian Armed Forces, Duncan served his Country with Patsy by his side at home and abroad. Upon returning to Canada, Duncan and Patsy decided to call Calgary home in 1973.
Duncan operated several successful convenience stores in the Calgary area during the seventies and eighties. Once Duncan realized he could transfer his mastery of sales to the new car business, to say the least, he was sold! Once established as a new car product advisor, Duncan excelled in sales year after year. He was proud in this role for 33 years and realized that his customers were number one. He treated them as individuals and always with a little humour on the side too...
After retiring, Duncan enjoyed spending time with his beautiful wife Patsy and their big black standard poodle Jake. Duncan and Jake had a unique bond that was very special to see, Jake will miss him dearly...
Duncan is survived by his wife Patsy of 59 years and their children, Duncan Currie Jr., Christine Clayton (Richard) and Dale Currie. In addition to his wife and children, Duncan was fortunate to have some wonderful granddaughters in his life. Jordain, Taylor, Alyson, Jamie and one special great granddaughter, Abigail.
As per Duncan’s wishes, there will be no service.
