Eileen was born May 5, 1936, in Bruno, Saskatchewan to Franics and Ursula Hamm. She was a middle child with an older brother (Delmar, deceased) and a younger sister (Diana, deceased).
She was educated by the Ursuline nuns, attending the Ursuline Academy. She attended secretarial school in Saskatoon and worked there for several years before moving to Calgary, where she met and married Harry. She worked as an accountant. As a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Eileen's sincere spirit created connections that enriched the lives of those who knew her.
Eileen was a cherished member of the community. She was a dedicated and devoted member of the CWL (Catholic Women's League) for over sixty years. She was active in the church and founded the senior's group, playing cards such as canasta and hearts.
Eileen enjoyed baking and cooking for family gatherings. She was an avid creative person who could knit and crochet anything. We all have products of her creative work.
She possessed a rare and genuine quality that made her beloved by all. Her endearing wit, wisdom, humour, and straightforward nature made her a cherished presence. May her memory continue to be source of comfort and inspiration.
