She is survived by her loving husband Leo Sorsa, daughters Marie Dayman (husband Rick) and Fran Mills, grandchildren: Allison Hryniw, Christie Murnaghan (husband Adam), Katie Mills, Riley Mills, Donna Elder (husband Craig) and great grandchildren Sandra and Sam Elder.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, Eva and Frank Corcoran and her sisters, Doris Clorec and Marie Morhun.
Eileen was born in Eatonia, Saskatchewan and earned her Registered Nurse designation at the Holy Cross hospital in Calgary. Nursing was her passion. If you were sick Eileen was always there to mend you back to health. There was nothing she couldn’t fix! Eileen worked as an RN in Eatonia, Kimberly, and finally in Canmore where she met and married Leo in 1949. Calgary was her home since 1956. Eileen worked as an Occupational Health Nurse at Dominion Bridge and finished her nursing career at The City of Calgary.
A quiet family memorial service (Eileen’s wishes) will be held in December.
