He will be remembered as a man who gave his love unconditionally to all; a man of few words, yet so much affection beamed from his inner spirit. Like a ray of sunshine, when he smiled the room lit in a blaze from his warmth and glow.
Eldon genuinely enjoyed the simple things in life like a good old-fashioned piping hot cup of coffee with a homemade cookie or slice of pie and his home where a friend was never turned away. He was surrounded by his beloved family and friends, and before he moved back to city living, never far from his side was his most loyal furry little companion Butch. Eldon enjoyed being a hobby collector of clocks and country drives appreciating nature; nothing compared to the fresh country air with our foothills encompassing him.
Although our hearts are truly sad to close yet another piece of our family history, we will remember affectionately how he lived life surrounded by love and adoration of all who were privileged to be considered by him, his family and friends. Off to join so many dearly departed before him, we know they will give him a golden welcoming he so well deserves.
A most heartfelt thank you to Eldon’s caregivers and teams at the RGH, FHHC, Chinook Care Hospice, Senior Homecare team, and the special team at the Marshall’s Drug pharmacy, you are all absolute gems, we so greatly appreciated your assistance and care.
Until we meet again our dear Brother, Papa, Great Unc and special friend to all, we will love you always and remember you forever.
