It is with deepest regret to announce the passing of Eleanor Benson (nee Sheldon) on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the age of 94 years. She is survived and will forever be remembered by her children, George, Jim (Jean), Marge (Duncan), Sue (Rod) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Harold, of 45 years and granddaughter, Kami. Eleanor always loved music and dance, her career as a registered nurse, but her greatest passion was time with family. The Family would like to thank all Foothills staff as well as all the dedicated Caregivers from Hillcrest Care Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, AB (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Alzheimer's Society of Calgary, 201, 222 - 58 Ave S.W., Calgary, AB T2H 2S3.
