

Elsie was born in Bredenbury, SK. She is survived by her beloved husband, Don; daughter, Brenda Sutton of Victoria, BC; son, Kevin of Calgary and five grandchildren, Carly, Kody and Janie McDougall, and Zachary and Jennifer Sutton. She is also survived by her siblings, Ed (Elaine) Becker of White Rock, BC, Anna (Roy) Howden of Regina, SK, Molly (Reg) Durocher of Prince Albert, SK, John (Kim) Becker of Eagle Bay, BC, Stan (Sandy) Becker of Kamloops, BC, and Louise Hanson (Herb Lowe) of Prince Albert, SK; brother-in-law, Melvin (Jean) McDougall; sister-in-law, Del McDougall; step sister-in-law, Fern (David) Hanson of Washington, USA; step brother-in-law, Ralph Newman of Delta, BC as well as by many loved nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. Elsie was predeceased by her grandson, Danny McDougall, in 2004; her father, Alfred Becker, in 1972, and her mother, Florence Becker, in 2001; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Neil and Mable McDougall; sister-in-law, Norma (Willie) Ross; brothers-in-law, Bob (Ruth) McDougall, Hugh (Ivy) McDougall, Roy (Joyce) McDougall and Bill McDougall.
A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Elsie’s family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff of Unit 83 of the Rockyview Hospital for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, and if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Rockyview Hospital, Unit 83 Coffee Fund, 7007 14 Street S.W., Calgary, AB T2V 1P9 in support of this wonderful unit of caregivers.
