Mom left us on a beautiful spring day, with the foothills and majestic Rockies in the distance. Frances was born and raised in the Onoway area. She lived a simple farm life, full of family, friends and love. Frances met Roy and the circle of family life started. They raised and focused their attention on four kids, Lois, Randy, Brian and Rob. Life was simple but rewarding, always interesting. Edmonton, then Calgary was home, until Roy’s unfortunate early passing. Frances then stepped up to the plate, took control, finishing the first cycle of the circle of family. She then spent several years exploring her own interests, all the time devoted to her kids. Once the fledglings had departed, she was encouraged to persue her own life and she met Norris. After Norris passed, the family joked that she should find a rich man for round three, but alas, she declined. The circle of family grew with the siblings’ spouses, Ray Garety, Barb Imeson, Ray Spiteri and Joanne Imeson. All loved and welcome additions to the group. The circle was further filled with her most endearing grandkids, Jessica (Mark Blescan) and Brandon (Erin Imeson), whom she devoured with attention. The final addition to the circle was her most cherished great-grandchildren Ella Frances; her namesake, and the early arrival of Gunner. Thus the circle was complete. Frances endured and stayed devoted to her family. She never wavered from her values of love and support. She is survived by more of her original circle, in her sister Julia Borle, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. We will Celebrate Frances’ life with a Funeral Mass held at Corpus Christi Church, 404 Northmount Place NW Calgary, on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., followed by an interment at Queens Park Cemetery. After the interment, a gathering of the circle of family and friends will be held at Fosters Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street NW, Calgary. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Foothills Country Hospice, 322001 - 32 St E, Okotoks, AB T0L 0X0; the family wishes to extend a special thanks for their extraordinary care and compassion in her final weeks. “Mom lived for her family, and now her family will live for her.” Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
