Frances Johnson

Frances Cedella Johnson quietly passed away at her home on Friday, September 22, 2017 in Calgary, AB at the age of 90 years. Born in Blandford, NS, Frances was the daughter of the late Roy and Ardeliah (nee Publicover) Gates. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Jack, children Bonita Misener and Michael Johnson, grandkids David, Linda (Manny) Troitino, Jennifer, Reed and Leah, greatgrand child Catherine Troitino, and her sisters Roselyn Cleveland, Evangeline Pickrem, Geraldine Norwood and Judy Gates (Robert Schakhol). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Frances is predeceased by her brother Art and his wife Marg, and sisters Ena and Isabel.

Frances was very dedicated to her family and loved to laugh with them. She enjoyed BINGO, cards, gardening, camping and fishing.

A Visitation will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at QUEEN’S PARK CEMETERY, 3219 4 Street N.W., Calgary AB on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, www.heartandstroke.ca, or the charity of your choice.
