Glenn Austin Meyer passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in Calgary, AB He was born on September 27, 1921 in Didsbury, AB. Glenn is survived by his wife Mary; daughters Elaine (Neil) Pennock and Cheryl Meyer; son Dale (Anne) Meyer; daughter-in-law Zee Meyer; eight grandchildren, Scott (Kiren), Jason (Kelly), Charmaine (Chad), Renee (Ewan), Julien (Brooke), Jamie, Brittany and Andrew; as well as eight great-grandchildren, Oliver, Dasan, Jonah, Chad, Chloe, Charley, Cooper and Amelia. He was predeceased by his son Warren Meyer. Glenn was raised on the family farm in Didsbury, and married Mary Gowryluk in 1947 for 68 years. In 1956, they moved with their four children to Calgary, and resided there for the past 60 years. Glenn worked as a mechanic and loved doing vehicle repairs for his family and friends. He had a love for music, travelling and enjoyed the company of many dear friends in his open home.
