Helen was born and educated in New York. She married Stu in New York on December 31, 1947 and moved with him to Calgary in 1952. Helen is also survived by sons and daughters, Smith, Bruce, Keith (Joan), Wayne (Lynn), Elizabeth (Jim), Georgia (B.J.), Bret (Julie), Alison, Ross and Diana; daughter-in-law Martha Hart; 35 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild, all of Calgary. As well, she is survived by four sisters, Patricia Forrest of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Elizabeth Budge of Piedmont, California, Joan Gudmandsen of Lakeland, Florida, and Diana Osler of Calgary. She was predeceased by her son Dean in 1990, son Owen in 1999, and grandson Matthew in 1996.
The family expresses its appreciation for the kindness and care given to Helen in the Intensive Care Unit of Foothills Hospital.
