Helmut was a man of commitment, dedication and hard work. He demonstrated these in his faith in Jesus, his love for his family and his work. He lived his life unapologetically according to his values and his beliefs.
Helmut is survived by his sons Steven, Mark (Sonja); grandchildren Brooke, Raeanne; sisters Hilde Umbsaar, Anne (Al) Wirth as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Karin; parents, Rudolph and Helene Guderjan and sister Gertrude Savi.
A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from the Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Holy Cross Manor who cared for him in the last years of his life.
