James Wong passed away peacefully at the Wing Kei Care Centre in Calgary on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the age of 87 years. James was born in Toishan, China and immigrated to Canada in 1950. He met and married his wife Anna in Hong Kong. Upon arrival back in Canada, both worked in his father Peter’s and mother Jean’s Businesses in Gravelbourg, SK. They moved to Calgary, Alberta in 1969. James helped run the Peking Inn and Oriental Kitchen Restaurants in Calgary. James is survived by his loving wife Anna; son Harry and his wife Pallen; daughter Lily and her husband Victor; and son Stanley. He will be missed by his grandson Stephen and granddaughters Jennifer and Cylena. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a Visitation held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Sunday, July 12, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
