

Jerry had a dynamic career in the oil and gas industry. He traveled extensively to many oil rich countries in the world. Rita and Jerry eventually settled in Calgary and enjoyed winter getaways to Phoenix. They enjoyed their pets Charli (golden retriever) plus Yasha and Misha (cats). Jerry was an avid sports fan and seldom missed a NFL or NHL game on TV. He enjoyed gardening and grew the best tomatoes which he shared with all his family. Jerry loved old Country and Western and Classic Rock music because in his words “they tell a story”. Jerry stayed in constant touch with his daughters and brothers, as family was very important to him.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife Rita, daughters Kari (Kraig) and Kim (Ryan), granddaughters Sierra, Chelsey, Kolbie, Madison and Hayden. He is also survived by brothers Barry (Jeanne) and Rob (Beata); niece Amanda (Chris); nephews Marcus (West and Asher) and Sean as well as by extended family members Sharon Pankiw, Hilda Pelzer, and Tammy Brockmeyer and family. Jerry was predeceased by his father Nick in 1984 and mother, Mary in 2015.
Jerry is loved and will be sadly missed and forever remembered.
A Celebration of Jerry’s Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
