Joanne is loved and remembered by her husband Ted; daughter Jody Danchuk (Dave); son Jeff Parker; granddaughters Meghan and Avery Danchuk; grandson Ryden Parker; brother Larry Findlay (Wendy); as well as a large extended family and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Nita Findlay.
Joanne was raised in the Hillhurst area of Calgary and after marrying Ted in 1971, raised her family in Calgary as well. She worked as a secretary for Sun Oil and was the Secretary/Treasurer for The Alberta Association of Registered Nurses (South Central District). Joanne embraced retirement by travelling, gardening, golfing, taking yoga and singing in choirs. Most important to Joanne was her family. She was admired and will always be remembered for her strength, warmth and loving ways.
A Celebration of Joanne’s Life will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary on Thursday, February 29th at 10:00 A.M.
