Jordan Laine Pasuik passed away in Calgary, Alberta on February 1, 2023 at the age of 41 years. He was born to Wendy and Gordon Pasiuk on July 26th, 1981 in Camrose, Alberta. He spent his youth with his sister Morgan and spoke often of travel and nostalgia.
Jordan attended Alberta Academy of Art and Design in 2020 and was an artist through and through. He excelled at any application he attempted, but painting and drawing were his favourites. By trade, he was a master woodworker and spray finisher. Jordan was the “Lacquer King” and took the highest of pride in his work. Self-employed for 20 years, he lived and worked on his own terms creating fantastic images and worlds into which you could disappear.
Jordan and Lyndsay met in 2007 when he promptly proclaimed he wanted to have a family and his first son would be named Shepard. Jordan was an “all in father”, always up for fun and often getting too carried away. The family spent summers camping, and in the fall holidays, he made sure to have a daily event planned to make each day special. Halloween and horror movies were at the top of his list. He wanted to be remembered for the beautiful things he made, his children, his art and his memories. With his heart in his hand, he lived full throttle.
Jordan was our rock and our chaos. It’s hard to imagine how to continue without him making jokes along the way. Jordan loved tending to his plants, had an amazing green thumb and loved turning our home into a jungle. His happiest times were camping with the kids, having fires, listening to music and sitting together. He loved cooking and could produce 5 star meals at any and every site, even if he only had 2 rocks for tools. Music, horror movies, VHS and nostalgia were among his loves. He dearly enjoyed his childhood growing up with Morgan and held our kid’s lives to that standard, making sure every moment was one to remember. Ensuring perfection, we always reassured him “She’s a beaut Clark”.
Jordan is lovingly remembered by his wife Lyndsay; his children Shepard, Anja and Milo; as well as his parents, Wendy and Gordon Pasiuk, and his sister Morgan.
We’ll be thinking of him every moment and hearing his voice in our heads and hearts. We ask that you try to create art and add something interesting to your world every day. From his family, we thank you for being a part of his life.
