Judith Wallace was born in Dornley, AB on October 11, 1916 and died peacefully at the Bethany Care Centre on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the age of 98 years. She passed away holding the hand of her beloved husband of 73 years, Hugh Wallace. The faithful and inseparable couple were married in Calgary, AB in July of 1941, and began an inspiring life together. Judith is also survived by her son Phil (Natalie) Wallace, and five grandchildren: Jeff (Chris), Annette (Rob), Gillian (Jay), Anton, and Danylo. She is lovingly remembered by her seven great-grandchildren: Oliver, Matthew, Stephanie, Jeff, Katie, Rachel, and Ian. She was predeceased by her siblings: Oscar, Joe, Henry, Minnie, Benny, Conrad, and Philip. Judith will forever be remembered for her love of Jesus, family, and friends. She welcomed a steady flow of relatives and visitors into her home and took in long term ‘boarders’ who became lifelong friends. Hugh and Judith ran “The Lighthouse Mission” in Calgary four nights a week for 28 years. With her husband, she cared for many people in need on those nights. She fed them, found them a place to sleep, and introduced them to the love of God. Judith was a shining example of selflessness, charity, and devotion. Funeral Services will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Family friend and pastor, John Lucas will be officiating.
