Born in Toishan, China, Kam immigrated to Canada in 1955 to join her husband in Red Deer, Alberta. In 1964, they moved to Calgary, where they built a home and raised their family. Together, Kam and her husband worked hard to provide a stable and nurturing environment, valuing education and opportunity for their four children.
Kam was immensely proud of her children’s accomplishments and found great joy in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Yook (Elena), Glen (Alison), Solon (Susie), and Dorothy (Charles); her grandchildren: Christine (Andy), Benjamin (Tara), Eric (Katherine), Brady (Kaitlyn), Evan (Maria), Pheelan (Michael) and Caitlin (Patrick); her great-grandchildren: Brayden, Lucas, Mercea, Elliotte, Blake, Rory, Owen, Finn, Liam, Anastasya, and Maksim; as well as extended family and many friends who will miss her dearly.
Kam was predeceased by her beloved husband, Watt, in 2012.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the nurses, caregivers, and Dr. Mah at Wing Kei Crescent Heights for their compassionate care and support during Kam’s residency.
