Ken had lived in many countries; most recently in Canada where he spent his last few years close by to family. He was born a proud Geordie in Tynemouth, England, and had a long and distinguished career primarily in the steel industry in England, Zimbabwe and South Africa. He also served for a number of years in the Territorial Army in England, and was an avid gardener.
Ken was pre-deceased six years ago by his wife of over 50 years, Pam. He is survived by his children Stewart (Tania) and Judy; as well as his grandchildren Graham and Claire. The family would like to thank the staff at Carewest Sarcee for the care they provided over the last while, as well as his various friends and caregivers who enriched his life.
A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held at St. Paul’s Church (7 Sunmills Green SE, Calgary, Alberta, T2X 3P6), on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to St. Paul’s Church at the address above.
