

She was born in Pendryl, Alberta on May 14, 1922. She had a long career as a legal secretary in the legal department with Gulf Oil in Calgary and took retirement in September 1986 after almost 33 years with the company.
Lou is predeceased by her husband of forty-two years, Denis. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Susan Bodell and Carol Lochhead; son-in-law Frank Bodell; and their families of six grandchildren, Angela (Scott) Makin, Terri Bodell, Mitia Lochhead, Travis Lochhead, Jason Lochhead and Cara Lochhead; seven great-grandchildren Justine (Ryan) Bottoms, Joel (Neira) Makin, Ryan (Marina) Makin, Madison (Mick) Lochhead, Shelby McAmmond, Henry Lochhead and Nathan Lochhead as well as great-great grandchildren Ellar, Eski, Emilia, Enin, Amiyah, Clementine and Owen.
Since 1970 summer vacations with family members were spent at Shuswap Lake, where many hours were spent building and upgrading two family cottages, boating and enjoying the beautiful beaches. She also enjoyed vacations abroad, ocean cruises, golfing and winter vacations in Arizona. Lou was a kind, caring, and generous- spirited individual who greatly valued her family. She will be deeply missed.
