During the early 1940’s, Lucille shared her piano and singing talents entertaining our troops and in a senior residence. In 1948, she graduated with a Hotel Management degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and then returned to Kingston, where she managed the family hotel business. In 1950, Lucille married the “love of her life”, Len, and they raised two daughters. Both Lucille and Len were active in the Kingston Rotary Club, and shared a love of family and travel. Lucille sang in the church choir and assisted with various church activities.
It wasn’t long after both daughters relocated to Calgary, that Lucille and Len joined them in 1990. Living close to their daughters, and their families, gave them great pleasure.
Lucille is survived by her daughters, Daryl Nemcsok (Steve) and Natalie Bell (Robert), four grandchildren; Darilyn Dorosz (Jonas), Stephanie Nemcsok (Hardy Huang), Jennifer and Kevin Bell and great grandchildren; Cyera and Layne Dorosz and Caspian Huang, as well as several nieces, and nephews, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years, Len, and her sister, Kettelle Carnegie (Cliff) and several brother-and sister-in-laws.
A Celebration of her long life will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada at https://alzheimer.ca/en/Home -donatenow-give in memory/tribute.
