Lyle Wayne Farmer passed away peacefully at the Chinook Hospice on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the age of 79 years.
Lyle was born in Emo, Ontario on October 28, 1941. Lyle went into the Canadian Military – Black Watch Infantry at the age of 19 years and was stationed in Germany for 4 years. Lyle like to travel but did not like the army life itself. When Lyle left the army in 1964, he went to Calgary and became a Gravel Crusher Operator at Burnco and was there for almost 20 years until he injured himself. Lyle went on to be a Commissionaire for over 30 years, where he worked within the Calgary Parking Authority and then went on to work at Fort Calgary until he retired in 2019.
Lyle’s greatest treasure in life was his family. He is lovingly remembered by his two daughters Sandy and Mandy; three granddaughters Melissa, Ashley (Karl) and Brandy (Matt); five great grandchildren Haley, Christian, Seth, Emma and Hannah. Lyle is also survived by his four siblings Alf (Bernice), Dolores, Valerie (Neil) and Nancy (Allan).
Lyle is predeceased by his loving wife Heather, his mother and father Elma and Floyd as well as his siblings Harold, Bevon, Luverne, Keith and Mervin.
