Malcolm Wilson Clarke passed away peacefully on October 20, 2012 at the age of 94. Malcolm is lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret (nee Feyrer) and his children Brent (Patty), Blair (Valerie), Cordell (Candayce), Allan (Donna), David (Julia), Nicole (Darlene) and Larry (Eileen). He will also be missed by 19 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Malcolm was raised in the Great Depression and made his mark as a pioneer in remote-control operations in the power industry; he greatly enjoyed his 45-year career with Calgary Power/TransAlta Utilities. Malcolm was a wit and loved to make up nonsensical rhymes and stories in order to confound his children! He enjoyed many hobbies including music, photography, model railroading and astronomy. Malcolm had a brilliant and enquiring mind and was curious about almost everything. A Celebration of Malcolm’s Life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Northmount Baptist Church (451 Northmount Drive NW) with Pastor Greg Butt officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Doctors Without Borders, PO Box 1269, Stn K, Toronto, ON M4P 9Z9. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
