Marianne Gertrude Storm

Marianne will be lovingly remembered by her children Kay (John), Susan (Scott), Keith, Scott (Kerri), 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her furry faithful companions, Megan, Star and Freddie. She is predeceased by her granddaughter Cheryl Levitt-Busch and husband Holger Storm.

Marianne was an only child born in Hamburg to Johannes and Gertrude Bauer. She was married to Holger for 60 years.

Marianne was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose selfless and nurturing nature was experienced by not only family but all those who knew her. With her husband Holger, she was actively involved with Navy League Cadets and the Canadian Naval Veterans Association. She spent the last 2 years in Daysland living with Kay and enjoying a full life camping, travelling, riding in the golf cart and spending time with her dogs.

A Funeral Service was held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South, Calgary on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. If friends so desire, donations can be made in Marianne’s memory directly to any Humane Society or any Animal Rescue organization. Expressions of sympathy may be left for the family in the Guest Book section found adjacent to this obituary.
