August 25,1938 - April 15, 2025
It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my mother Marilyn Lyvda Langille in Calgary at the age of 86. Marilyn was born in Edmonton, and raised on a farm near Tofield, Alberta where she won many 4-H club awards. She loved horses, and often spoke of her horse, Brownie, and all the tricks they would do together. Marilyn was a gifted artist, and after graduating from high school she attended Alberta College of Art in Calgary. Her creative spirit was never ending as she pursued pottery, painting, floral design, cake decorating, choral singing, gardening, and, in her later years, jewellery making; all this despite years of chronic pain made her artistry even more remarkable.
Marilyn was predeceased by her beloved husband Don and her son Greg.
She is survived by her son Trevor, and her brother Robert Moos (Marilyn) and family.
Marilyn is lovingly remembered by her daughter Jacinda Jones, son-in-law Shane, and her granddaughters Leila Elizabeth and Lexi Victoria. She will be fondly remembered by extended family in Trail, BC. Marilyn was thankful to be reunited with her daughter, Liza Milburn of Arizona.
We will miss her beautiful blue eyes, and her bright smile, but we find comfort in the memories of her love.
A celebration of life, for family and friends, will be held at South Calgary Funeral Centre on Saturday May 10, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Feel free to wear something purple or colourful in remembrance of Marilyn.
