She received her elementary education at Powerville School and completed her high school at Forest, Manitoba. She continued on to work at the No. 1 Manning Pool Air Force for 2 to 3 years, from there to work at Western Motors in Brandon.
Later Marion went to the Business College in Winnipeg and took a secretary course. From there she moved to Calgary where she was employed by Calgary Motor Products and later by the Provincial Government of Alberta until she retired.
Marion was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Maria; stepfather H.T. Johnson; brother Herb Watts; sisters Alice St. John and Jean Eyres. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed and always cherished in our hearts.
Marion was very involved in all aspects of charity work. She belonged to the Mother’s Union at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church where she took part in baking, crafts and knitting. Marion would go and help the “brown bag lunch program” for the homeless. She was very active in marathon walks.
Thank you to the staff of Millrise Intercare Nursing Home. Following cremation, a private family service will be held in Manitoba and Marion will be laid to rest with her family.
