I lost touch with Marlene over the years, but always loved her when we used to party together forty years ago.  My sincere condolences to all of her family.

I am sorry to hear of Marlene's passing.  I was married to George Scurr and lost touch with Marlene when we moved to Vancouver.  Marlene and her family shared a duplex on Broadview Road with us and we became friends.  When Glen & I moved back to Calgary in 1985 Marlene and I connected again and were email buddies for years.  I will miss her.  My condolences to the family.

I reminisce of the precious memories of the fun times we had with my Mom and I hold those memories deep in my heart. 
She will forever live in my heart and soul as well as those who also love and miss her so very much. 
I deeply miss her love and I know in my heart she is at peace.

My name is Gayle Tokarek nee: Scurr.My family moved next door to Marlene and her family when I was about 10 years old. My mom, Agnes Scurr and Marlene's mom remained friends until they died. I reconnected with Marlene some years ago and we have been email buddies ever since. I will miss her emails. My condolences to the family.

On behalf of the family of the late James (Jim) and Merna Marchbank, we are so saddened by the news of Marlene's passing. Sending our condolences and love from Debbie and Ed Marriott and family, Roy and Coreena Marchbank, George Marchbank, the children of the late David Marchbank, Brian,Nathan, and Kirsten. I personally have many memories of my Dad's joking and laughing with the twins, and remember my Mom' s connection that lasted up to my Mom's passing in 2009. I was always in awe of Marlene's beautiful long hair and her happy disposition. The years have passed, and now Marlene has left us far too soon. Much love. May the happy memories help you find peace at this difficult time. Mine is the convertible ride from North Vancouver to the Shuswap many years ago, and our visits to Auntie Marg and Uncle Harold's in Calgary. Always a fun time.

My condolences to all of Marlene's family.  I worked with Marlene for several years at the University of Calgary.  She loved her family above everything else and often talked about the enjoyment she got from being with you.  A loving spirit, now at rest.

You don't lose someone that has touched your heart.  It's a win that they will forever be with you and will continue to help guide you though life.
