December 5, 1931 – November 7, 2014
Marvin Skreslet passed away on Friday November 7, 2014 at the age of 82 years. Marvin enjoyed a very good life. He was proud of the fact he had the honor of serving in the Canadian Air force. He also was involved with the Canadian Legion and volunteered with the war museum when he was in his seventies. He took great pride in volunteering with the war museum. His greatest pleasures were being able to fish along the lakes and rivers of Banff, Fernie and travelling with his motor home and boating throughout Alberta, British Columbia and North America as often as he could. Marvin is survived by his daughter Pamela, his grandson Dustin, his great granddaughter Elizabeth, his brother Laurie, nieces and nephews, Geraldine, Leona, Gordon, John, Jane and Carol, as well as extended family. Marvin was predeceased by his wife Marjorie Stirling, his daughter Sharon, his granddaughter Amanda, his brother Ludwig, his sister Margaret and his parents Ingeborg Kniess (nee Stien) and Jacob Skreslet who both immigrated from Norway. Our family would like to thank all the staff and management for the care that he was given at Aspen Lodge during the years he was with them. A special thanks to the nurses, doctors, caregivers and management at Walden Heights for taking great care of Marvin. You made his last years there very relaxing, comfortable and were very helpful to our family. A private family service will be held. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
