It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michele Anne Armstrong on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the age of 63 years. Michele passed away peacefully at Agape Hospice in Calgary, Alberta, surrounded by love. She was born in Calgary on July 9, 1962- a Stampede Parade day- fitting for someone whose bright spirit and laughter mirrored the joy of that celebration.
Michele was predeceased by her beloved mother, Shirley Noreen Jane Seguin, and is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Robert Dale Armstrong; her cherished son, Cody Ennison Armstrong; her father, Alfred Ennison Seguin; her sisters, Karen Burke (Steve) and Beverly Seguin; along with nieces, nephews, many cousins and second cousins who will remember her always.
Michele's professional life reflected her dedication and craftsmanship. She worked in retail jewelry sales before embarking on a more than 30-year career in hardwood flooring, where she excelled in installation, sanding, and finishing. Her meticulous skill and artistry left a lasting mark on countless homes and lives.
Beyond her work, Michele's true passions brought joy to those around her. She held a lifelong love of Karate, admired the humour and charm of Disney's Goofy, and delighted in the creativity and playfulness of Lego. These loves revealed her spirit- playful, strong, and endlessly curious.
Michele’s life was defined by the deep love she gave her family and the kindness she extended to all. Those who knew her will remember Michele for her warmth, her strength, and the joy she found in life's simplest but most meaningful moments.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Michele’s honour at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Following the Celebration of Life, Michele’s urn will be interred at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michele's memory to Agape Hospice, 1302 8th Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta, whose compassionate care provided comfort in her final days.
Michele's absence leaves an immeasurable void, but her love, laughter, and memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
