Mounira "Mona" Simpson

April 15, 1928 Ain Zhalta, Lebanon – Nov. 18, 2015 Calgary, AB, Canada

Mona Simpson passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her close family. Mona was born and raised in Ain Zhalta, Lebanon. She married Clifford Simpson and moved to Gainsborough, SK, where all of her five children were born. The family moved to Calgary, AB in 1963. Deeply devoted to family, Mona’s love, warmth and kindness established the cornerstone of an extremely tight knit family and friends. She will be dearly missed by her children, Allona, Glenn (Jubie), Judy (Todd), Susan, Randy (Debbie); grandchildren, Deanna (Corey), Denise (Trevor), Danny (Jamie), Chad (Lennie-Mae), Crystal (Sebastian), Ashley, Casey, Rachel; great grandchildren, Alysia, Crystian, Alex, Cameron, Justin, Ryder, Cody, Abigail, Liam, Wyatt; nephews, Khaled, Omar, Marwaan (Melissa); and other nephews, nieces and extended family in Lebanon, Saskatchewan and California. A Viewing will be held Monday November 23, 2015 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 p.m. at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 4th St., NW, Calgary, AB, across from Queen’s Park Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to Celebrate Mona’s life Tuesday November 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Foster’s Garden Chapel with burial to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
