It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Nikola Vignjevic, father, grandfather, Kum and friend. He passed away peacefully on Thursday March 5, 2020 in Kelowna, British Columbia, at the age of 89 years.
He was predeceased by his wife, Boja Vignjevic, mother and father, Sava and Ilija Vignjevic and his siblings Simo, Mica, Rade, Gnjate and Simica. Nikola, known to his family as "Djed", leaves behind his daughters Nada and Rada (Zarko) and his beloved grandson Saša (Maja), nieces, nephews, godchildren, relatives and friends to mourn.
A Visitation with Prayers will be held at Foster's Garden Funeral Home, 3220 – 4 Street N.W. Calgary, AB, on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 404 Meredith Road N.W. Calgary, AB, on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
