To say Norm was a larger than life character would be an understatement, he was truly an extraordinary man and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.  

I have many fond and funny memories of Norm and am especially happy that we all had a chance to reunite at Panther River a couple of summers ago.

Norm has touched so many lives with his humor, love of life and his outstanding videos of adventures around this magnificent planet. It was very special to be parked next to your family at Rexburg, Idaho for the August 21 Total Solar Eclipse. Norm really wanted everything to be perfect for that day and it sure was. I especially enjoyed that beer with Norm and your family at the cabin as we discussed the upcoming eclipse. We will all miss him very much.

I was so very sorry to hear that Norm had died. He was a very special person, full of fun and laughter. I was a volunteer at the Zoo and met him when he was filming Kamala, the elephant painting her pictures.He will be greatly missed. My Sincere Sympathy to all his family.

Dear Bettie, I am so sorry for your loss.  Norman and I were confirmed together and I think we were 12 to 14 years old.  Gosh I remember him playing the boogey, woogey for all of us, what fun. Norm was one in a million... a force to be reckoned with and a gentle giant.  His passion his family and all that he did in his life - extraordinary.  His love for you Bettie... well there are no words.  How lucky I was to have Norm in my life.  Sending all of you so much love, I am very sure he is smiling down on all of us.  I will miss him too....

Bettie and family.  So very sorry to hear about Norm.  Although we haven't  seen each other since our recruiting days, I have thought about Norm often.  I enjoyed our daily chats immensely.  He was a good friend, a great boss and a well respected representative of the Canadian Armed Forces.
