Norman “Norm” Engel passed away suddenly and peacefully in the comfort of his home on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the age of 63 years. He was born March 19, 1962, in the Calgary General Hospital to Emil and Ilse Engel and was the youngest brother to Edgar (Ed).
Growing up, Norman went fishing with his brother and parents, played video games, went biking with his brother Edgar, made many friends, travelled to Germany and Hawaii, and loved working on his vehicles. After leaving high school, Norm went to work at the Coca-Cola Bottling Company and had just retired after 40 years. He was looking forward to working on his hobbies, such as his models, painting, expanding his many collections, and hanging out with friends and family.
Norm is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his immediate family and friends, all of his coworkers at the Coca-Cola Plant in Calgary, and all those in the antiques and collections group.
He is also survived by his mother Ilse Engel; older brother Edgar; sister-in-law Jeannie Willamson-Engel; nieces Hannah and Simone; nephew Jason; nephews-in-law, Lucas and Jordan; and great nieces Annie and Neaveh.
Norm was predeceased by his father, Emil Engel, and his grandparents, Jacob and Emma Engel.
