Patrick Sharp

Patrick Sharp passed away at the Foothills Hospital on March 3, 2011 at the age of 81 years. Patrick “Pat” is lovingly remembered by Marie, his wife of 60 years; daughter Maureen; sons John (Yvonne) and Gerard (Karen); grandchildren Tim (Elwira), Danielle (Dan), Melissa (Scott) and Steven.

Pat immigrated to Canada with his family in 1966. He retired in 1989 as Assistant Deputy Director working at the Calgary Remand Centre and Bow Valley Correctional Centre. During his retirement Pat enjoyed swimming, reading and gardening. Pat will be missed by family and many friends.

Thank you to the doctors and staff at Foothills Hospital Special Services Unit 57. Relatives and friends are invited to a Prayer Service at Ascension Catholic Parish, 1100 Berkshire Blvd NW, Calgary on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Ascension Catholic Parish on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations can be made directly to Calgary Seniors Resource Society (3639 - 26 Street NE, Calgary, AB T1Y 5E1) or to Leukemia Research Fund (936 The East Mall, Etobicoke, ON M9B 6J9).
