Paul Richard Atkinson passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on May 3, 2012 at the age of 65 years. Rick is lovingly remembered by his wife Marlene; his son Richard (Dawn) and grandchildren Brandan and Sharolyn; daughter Connie (Glen) and grandchildren Elesha, Crystal, Tiffany, Daniel and Sean; daughter Lynn and grandchildren Mason and Jerid; son Jamie (Crystal) and grandchildren Brianna and Brooklyn; son Jason; daughter Sherry; great grandchildren Syrah, Shanae and Maddox as well as extended family and friends. Rick is also survived by his sisters Joy (Don), Shirley (Jody) and families. He was predeceased by his father James (Pappy), mother Gladys and brother Bill.
Rick spent his life farming, working on cars and playing chess. He enjoyed talking to people and would strike up a conversation with any passer-by. Rick was always looking for a deal and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
