Once Judy was in school, she worked as a short order cook in the Chinook Room at The Bay in downtown Calgary for 10 years. Upon Harry’s retirement he and Pauline went on to spend many happy summers at the Restwell Trailer Park in Canmore, AB where they parked their holiday trailer. For many years Pauline and Harry were active members of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, in Calgary. Family was everything to Pauline and she relished the hours spent with her grandchildren and more recently great-grandchildren. Pauline celebrated her 100th birthday on September 3rd at a tea hosted by the Carewest George Boyack and attended by family and residents. The attached picture was taken the day of her birthday.
She bade no one a last farewell,
She said good-bye to none;
The heavenly gates were opened wide,
A loving voice said, ""Come"".
She is lovingly remembered by her three daughters Sharon Kaminski and Beverly Gibson of Calgary, and Judy (Dan) Hennig of Stony Plain, AB, grandson Shawn (Susie) Kaminski, granddaughters Jaime (Jeff) Fleming of Calgary, Christel and Barbara Hennig of Edmonton, great-grandsons Blake Fleming and Tristan Kaminski, great-granddaughters Alyssa Fleming and Mia Kaminski and sister Hertha Wagner, Leduc, AB, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Pauline was predeceased by her husband Harry (2010), son-in-law Roy Kaminski (2013), her parents George and Louise Treiber and ten brothers and sisters.
