Richard George Becker passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 10th, 2026 at the age of 83. He was born in August of 1942 to George & Blanche Becker in High River, Alberta. He grew up on the farm with his 7 siblings, Len (deceased), Howard, Frank, Jerry, Mike, Judy (deceased), and Larry. He had a successful career as both an industrial and commercial Master Plumber/Pipefitter, and Foreman/ Superintendent. It eventually led him to the Department of Defense where he worked until his official retirement.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lorraine of 56 years; his children and their families; Clayton & Rosalie and grandson Logan, and Jodi. As well as the many pets throughout the years that he declared would be the absolute last one. He loved his sports and grew up playing hockey and softball, then later on learned all the aspects of soccer, basketball and bowling so he could coach or help guide his children through their own sporting ventures. He loved to camp and spent 7 years at their camper in Radium on the weekends. He enjoyed golfing when he had the chance, and he also enjoyed playing at various casinos and loved winning some money. He made a lot of friends over the years and will be missed.
