Robert Allan Salzmann, known to his friends and family as Bob, was born on May 21, 1944 in Peterborough, Ontario where his parents, Alexander and Eileen Salzmann were posted during their military career.
It is with great sadness to say that Bob passed away at our Calgary home the morning of August 1, 2024 after a long, hard and courageous battle with cancer. He was the love of my life, and a man who loved and admired his family.
Bob grew up in Drumheller and it was in high school where he met Bernice. After high school, they decided Calgary was their destination of choice in order to further their education and ultimately became married.
With his thirst for knowledge Bob went on to college later in life. He had a distinguished career in sales with a number of respected companies.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Bernice and their two sons Greg and Brett, two lovely granddaughters, Simone & Tate and grandson-in-law Clayton with one sweet little grandchild, Sylene.
Bob had a passion for woodworking, gardening, studying/reading & family heritage. Bob's kindness, generosity and sense of humour touched everyone who knew him. His friends and family remember him as a man of great integrity and warmth.
A private family service was held. Bob was laid to rest at Okotoks Cemetery.
