

Roberta was born on May 22, 1936 to Robert Ramsay and Grace Ferguson, in Kilspindie, Scotland; she was one of 12 siblings. Roberta grew up on a farm until she moved to Quebec, Canada in April of 1956 to look after her uncle who was injured during World War II. During her time in Canada, she worked as a nanny until she met her beloved husband Robert Earle Greenough who was in the RCAF.
Robert and Roberta tied the knot on January 11th, 1957 in Hamilton, Ontario. While Robert served in the RCAF, Roberta put all her love and effort into raising their three children; Keith, William and Janette. Roberta travelled to France and across Canada during the time her husband served in the RCAF, officially becoming a Canadian Citizen in May of 1978. Upon retirement in 1995 Robert and Roberta settled in Edmonton, Alberta. She devoted her love and efforts into their grandchildren and loved playing bingo.
Roberta is survived by her three children, Keith (Karin), William (Helena) and Janette (Gary), nine grandchildren; Jocelyn, Cassandra, Clay, Robert, Katya, Marina, Joanne, Alex and Jay, and five great grandchildren; Lily, Quinn, Charlotte, Lincoln and Talon. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Earle Greenough in June of 2021.
A Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery, 3219 4 St NW, Calgary, on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to attend, please meet at the main gate by 10:45 am.
