Nino was born on October 3, 1933 in the town of Bressanone, Italy, the son of Angelo and Maria Chiste. He moved to Canada at the age of 18 where he eventually met his wife, Hilda, and raised their family.
He is survived by his loving wife and their children, Marisa, Cristina (Mike), Linda, Sandra (John), Angela (Michael), David (Dawn) as well as 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five sisters, one brother, four sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Emergency department and Unit 36 at the Foothills hospital for the kind and gentle care they showed to Nino and the rest of the family while he was there.
Prayers will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 7:00 pm at Foster’s Garden Chapel 3220 – 4th Street NW, Calgary Alberta. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Bernard’s Church 711 – 37 Street NW, Calgary Alberta.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to either the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation or the Calgary Food Bank.
