Bev and family,
I just heard the very sad news of Ron's passing and I am so sorry. He was such a kind and happy man....and for many months during hockey seasons, Liam enjoyed being close to him while he and Stu were teammates. We still talk of those times with fondness. 
I can only imagine the huge emptiness in your hearts and home during these difficult times. Peace and love to you all

Ron truly was somebody who lived by 'treat others as you would like to be treated'.  It was always a pleasure to golf with him at the Dome/Amoco/SHL tournaments.

Words are of little solace at a time like this but they are all we can offer to you.  My deepest sympathy and condolences to you and your family.

Grief is like a wake behind a boat.  It starts out as a huge wave that follows close behind you and is big enough to swamp and drown you if you suddenly stop moving forward.  But if you do keep moving, the big wake will eventually dissipate.  And after a long enough time, the waters of your life get calm again, and that is when the memories of those who have left begin to shine as bright and as enduring as the stars above.

Ron & I were best of friends in Elementary School & then we grew apart as we went to different Jr High & Sr High Schools. You never forget your best childhood friend. Ron was that childhood friend. We kept in touch by playing hockey against each other. Even after some hard fought games we always would just smile at each other & say "Good Game" cuz we were childhood buddies.

I am so deeply sorry for your profound loss.
Even though Ron and I were not close and worked remotely for the most part, we did interact for many years starting with Dome and lastly at IBM. 
I will share this nice memory and that is years ago when I heard Ron sing the finest rendition of "Mack the Knife" at a karaoke work gathering.

I knew Ron for many years and considered him a close work and personal friend.  Ron always had a special way about himself that drew you to him..  He had a glowing smile and warmth that could only be explained when you meet him.  He will be surely missed....
