Sadie will be sadly missed by her husband, Floyd; son, Arnold McLaughlin and grandchildren, Teresa (Jeff) Eshner and Kevin McLaughlin as well as by many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, Arlington McLaughlin, in 1957. Sadie was born in Cochrane, AB and grew up on the family farm. Later, she moved to Carstairs where she became involved in ranching. She loved horses and enjoyed baking, but Sadie’s greatest pleasure could be found in helping others.
A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 12 noon. A Graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Carstairs Cemetery in Carstairs, AB. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to Meals on Wheels, 5759-80 Avenue S.E., Calgary, Alberta, T2C 4S6.
