People that met Scott were taken by his wit, sense of humour and passion for life. He had many friends that he honoured with his loyalty and compassion. Sitting by the fire he loved to share stories and tell fortunes to his young friends that considered him like their big brother. Scott loved being with family and lived and breathed for “his girls.” He always made time for his mom or anyone that needed help. When he wasn’t found by a fire he was either found tinkering in his garage, working at the mill or running his successful concrete business. Scott’s happy place was on Lake Koocanusa where he, his wife Corrine and daughter Zoe “his girls,” were building their dream cabin designed by Scott which was nearing completion. Our energizer bunny’s batteries have run out and he will be deeply missed by his friends, family and co-workers. In the words of his daughter Zoe “if you don’t believe in heroes, you have never met my dad.”
Scott is survived by his wife Corrine, daughter Zoe, mother Patricia Hardowa, mother-in-law Lynn DePatie (Richard), brothers Herb Hardowa, Scott DePatie, Drew DePatie, sisters Candace Keays, Royane DePatie, Nicelle DePatie, Erina Foote. He is predeceased by his loving father Wayne Hardowa. He is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly.
