Making her mark on the world on March 6, 1951, Sharon had a flourishing adolescence full of Beatles music enjoyed by her and her friends. As a teenager Sharon took a position at Canada Safeway where she met her teenage sweetheart and love of her life Ron. After 5 years of courtship the two decided to wed in December of 1972. During her working years Sharon acted as office manager at Credit Union before moving on to manage the Grandan Family Business for 39 years. Not only was Sharon a savvy professional, but also a devoted family woman. Ron and Sharon started their family with the birth of their son Tyler, followed by their second son Trevor. The family persevered together through many adventures of camping, boating, fishing, all of which she detested but masked with her love of cooking and gardening. Sharon shared her love of cooking with many friends, family, and her son’s friends.
The Grandan household was forever filled with numerous cats and dogs throughout the years because of Sharon’s love of animals, except bears, that spread throughout her family and home.
With her signature ability to motivate those around her with only a single look she raised a family full of wit and appreciation, who will cherish and miss her always.
Sharon is lovingly remembered by her Husband Ron, Tyler (Laura) Grandan, Trevor Grandan (Kimberley Bui), and her brother Rick (Jennifer) Apponen.
Predeceased by her loving parents Kathleen and William Apponen.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to Tails to Tell Animal Rescue (Crossfield).
