I have wonderful memories of Shirley when we were employed as dental assistants in a shared office in the Medical Dental Building on 12th Ave. many, many years ago. She was assistant to Dr. Finlay, and I assistant to Dr. Boyko. It was my first job and Shirley became a friend and adviser. We shared many laughs and good stories. Sorry to read of her  passing. As my thoughts turn to my beloved cousin, Shirley l recall so many wonderful memories! Bonded by strong family ties as children, we remained close and always kept in contact over the years. 
I was only one of the many fortunate family members upon whom she so freely bestowed her love, generosity, and time to assist in our lives happy and sad times. 
I will never forget the lovely bridal shower she hosted for me in 1968, when l returned to my home in Lethbridge to be married. 
Nor will I forget the funeral receptions she kindly hosted at her home for my mother and father in 1976. Then there were the numerous happy summer visits to Calgary, initiating family reunions and the girls weddings. What a great time we had! We even once enjoyed a Stampede celebration breakfast at your home and back yard. 
One night we stayed very late visiting and we were locked out of the KOA campground. So we just climbed the fence. As we aged we calmed down and decided we could make it work by camping on the street by your house. 
Your home was always the (centre of each visit) and it was your Mother along with your Father’s help who made it so special. Your Mother always gave 100% of herself for others. 
May you be comforted knowing that God will reward her richly in His Eternal Kingdom. 
I will miss her so very much, but these memories and many more will remain in my heart. 
I was truly one of the lucky ones to experience what a remarkable caring person she really was!
May she Rest In Peace.

Shirley was a dear friend from the day we met in Grade One at St. Anne’s.  I have many sweet memories of our times together growing up.  She had a loving heart , and was also lots of fun to be with.
 May her love for you surround you with comfort and peace in the coming days.
