Our beloved Sibyl passed away peacefully on February 19, 2014. Sibyl was known for her kind, generous spirit and wonderful sense of humour. She was an inspiration to countless people throughout her life.
Sibyl received many awards for her charitable work including the Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award. Sibyl was one of twelve children.
Left behind to treasure their special memories are her sisters, Anita Martin, Esther Galloway, Winnie (Ray) Treiber, Audrey Shackleton, Kathy Field and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family wishes to thank the compassionate staff at the Beverly Centre Lake Midnapore, Sundance Unit.
A Celebration of Sibyl’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at South Calgary Funeral Centre, 12700 Macleod Trail SE. (at Lake Fraser Gate).
In lieu of flowers, please honour Sibyl’s life with a random act of kindness.
