Tegan was born August 21, 1996 in Calgary to Coleen Cardwell and John Ursel. Together with her older sister Chelsea and younger brother Jack, Tegan kept her parents busy and family life lively. She shared a special bond with her Aunt Cori.
Tegan was an artist by temperament and ability and her works amazed friends and family with their strong beauty. In recognition of her talent, her work had recently been accepted for publication in a magazine. She also loved all living things, and cherished the natural world around her. Nymphadora Tonks, the family dog, and all the cats miss her and let us know how much they loved her.
Tegan enjoyed a wide range of music, spending time with friends, art, wandering around downtown with her camera, and adventures of all kinds.
She worked at Centex and valued her good friendships with everyone there.
Tegan leaves behind Coleen, John, Chelsea and Jack, as well as Aunt Cori and Uncle Grant and cousins Ben and Maren, Aunts Susan and Lucy and their family, and an extended family that stretches across Canada. She was predeceased by her grandparents Donna, John, Olive and Norman.
In a testament to her loving nature, Tegan also leaves many many friends and co-workers missing her and mourning her and we thank them all for their support and love of Tegan.
Special thanks go out to Caitland and Terri for their unlimited kindness and love for Tegan and for all of us at this terrible time.
A service for our beloved Tegan will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 1:30 p.m.
Donations in memory of Tegan can be made to the Calgary Humane Society, Calgary Zoo or an animal charity of your choice.
