Thelma will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by friends and family especially her children, Russell, Linda, Larry (Pat) as well as her grandchildren, Scott, Katherine (Karl), Bo (Tyler) and great grandchild Bonnie Rose.
She was born in Gananoque, Ontario, before moving west to Alberta to start a family. Thelma devoted her life to Mac, their children and grandchildren. Mac and Thelma loved to travel - whether they were cruising the world, exploring Egypt, Dominican Republic, Portugal, treating the family to a Cuban vacation or simply helping Russell out on the Farm. Thelma adored animals adopting a certain cow at the Farm as her pet, watching and feeding the neighbourhood bunnies, as well as stocking her cupboards with treats for the family’s dogs. Thelma delighted in hosting friends and family, having neighbours over for happy hour and family for any occasion big or small (usually including family favourites of tea biscuits or Grandma’s chocolate cake).
A heartfelt thanks to all those who helped care for her in the past couple years when she struggled to do so for herself – from family, to home care nurses, to the wonderful staff at Bethany. Thelma - you were loved.
A private family memorial will be held in the spring.
