Una Alice Roberts

On Thursday, September 21, 2017, Una passed from Life to Death to Life Eternal at The Salvation Army Agape Hospice in Calgary, AB.

Una was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Eldon, on January 12, 2017. She is survived by her seven children and their spouses: Roy (Sandra), Norman (Connie), Louise (Edward) David, Eric (Gilles Fournier), Emily (Bob) Barr, Darlene (Dave) Mitchell and Janet. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Danny (Kate) Roberts, Melissa (Jason) Masters, Christopher Roberts, Jennifer Roberts, Adam Barr, Travis Barr, Deborah (Graham) Slack and Carol Mitchell; four great-grandchildren: Chloe Masters, Noah Masters, Lena Roberts and Macie Roberts; as well as honourary granddaughter, Kyla McKenzie.

Una is also survived by her older sister, Kate Wilkins Hare Bay, NL; her two younger brothers, William (Phillis) and German Preston, Dover, NL; several sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; her special niece Fronie (Gerald) Critchley; as well as other extended family members. She was also predeceased by her parents, Simeon and Maud Preston, three sisters and three brothers.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Una’s Life will be held at The Salvation Army Glenmore Temple, 921- 68 Ave SW, Calgary, on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Committal Service at Queen’s Park Cemetery, 3219 – 4 Street N.W. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to The Salvation Army – Agape Hospice, 1302 - 8 Ave N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1B8. The Family wishes to simply say thank you to the angels (staff) at Agape Hospice for the Love and Care that they provided our mother during her last weeks of life.
