Early in the morning of November 18, 2022, Wanda Pfeiffer passed away peacefully at the age of 91 and is now with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Rudolf Pfeiffer, sons Harold (Linda), Michael (Kimberley), Andrew (Tanis), daughter Monica Biensch (Bill), 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, her surviving sister, Gertrud Neumann (Siegmund) and many nieces and nephews.
Wanda was born in Poland and lived there until the end of WWII when her family was separated from their father and taken against their will to the USSR where she lived for thirteen years. It was during this difficult time that she embraced her relationship with Jesus which was the foundation on which she built her life. The family was reunited with their father in 1959 in Edmonton, Canada. While there she met Rudy and they were married in 1960 and began their family before moving to Ontario and back to Calgary, Alberta in 1974. Wanda was a devoted wife and mother who shared her faith with her family. She enjoyed camping and hiking in the mountains and gardening. Later in life she enjoyed travelling with Rudy to other places like Hawaii, Costa Rica, Israel and the Caribbean.
The family would like to thank Providence Care Centre for their care of Wanda in her last six months of life. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Father Lacombe Care Foundation www.flccfoundation.ca or a charity of your choice in memory of Wanda.
